The Assembly of First Nations (AFN) is seeking a dedicated Policy Analyst to support national advocacy efforts. This role involves developing policy proposals, evaluating existing regulations, and collaborating with stakeholders in First Nations communities. You will also prepare detailed reports and present findings to various partners to enhance policy effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive research on First Nations policies and practices
• Develop policy proposals based on research and consultations
• Evaluate existing policies to identify gaps and improvements
• Collaborate with government and educational partners
• Prepare reports and present policy recommendations
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in related field with 3-5 years experience
• 3 years in policy analysis with First Nations focus
• Strong understanding of First Nations rights and regulatory frameworks
• Proficiency in data analysis and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
