This position is based in Ottawa and follows a hybrid work model. You will be expected to work from our Ottawa headquarters 3 days per week.
About the teamKinaxis is looking for a Procurement Coordinator to support the day-to-day purchasing activities that help our global business operate efficiently. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating details, solving process questions, and working with internal stakeholders and vendors in a fast-paced environment.
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you will support daily purchasing activity across assigned categories, helping coordinate requests, approvals, and purchase orders so the business can buy what it needs efficiently and accurately. You will also contribute to ongoing efforts to simplify, standardize, and digitize procurement workflows.
Salary RangeAnnual cash compensation ranges from $47,250 to $69,300, plus company bonus. The final offer within this range will reflect the successful candidate’s skills and experience.
What you will do- Process purchase requests for assigned categories, coordinating requirements, approvals, and follow-up to support timely completion.
- Lead relevant sourcing activities by gathering supplier quotes, compiling bid assessments, and preparing award recommendations.
- Support supplier qualification and onboarding in partnership with Accounts Payable, helping collect required information and move suppliers through the registration process.
- Issue and manage assigned purchase orders through the lifecycle, including support for delivery, billing, and receiving questions.
- Support lower-complexity contracting workflows, including event, venue, training, sponsorship, and similar agreements, by coordinating reviews and approvals, system updates, and related PO activity.
- Support procurement reporting and spend visibility by organizing request, supplier, purchase order, and status information for operational reporting.
- Identify incomplete, unclear, off-process, or exception-based requests and elevate to the appropriate owner for guidance.
- Identify recurring request types, manual process steps, and common requester issues to support automation, catalog enablement, standardization, and process improvement.
- Post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in procurement, finance operations, or contract administration preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced, queue-based environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow up professionally with internal stakeholders and vendors.
