We are continuously seeking Senior Business Analysts with strong business analysis, requirements management and IT project experience for current and upcoming federal government opportunities.
These resources may support major and complex Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts and technology teams.
Position SummaryMaplesoft Group is looking for experienced Senior Business Analysts to support major and complex IM/IT projects within federal government environments.
The successful candidates will analyze business needs, document requirements, model business processes and act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams.

Key Responsibilities- Analyze functional requirements, procedures, information flows and decision processes.
- Engage business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to understand business needs, problems and opportunities.
- Elicit, analyze, validate, document and prioritize business requirements.
- Develop high-level and detailed business requirements and Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).
- Create requirements traceability matrices and business process models.
- Develop current-state and future-state process maps.
- Produce business cases, use cases, data dictionaries, options analyses and context/interdependency diagrams.
- Define and document acceptance criteria.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
- Evaluate existing procedures, applications, system interfaces and manual-to-automated processes.
- Identify opportunities for business-process improvement, standardization and automation.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Support multiple projects and initiatives concurrently where required.
- Prepare status reports, presentations and briefing materials for senior management and stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear requirements and actionable recommendations for technology teams.
- Support project teams throughout the requirements, design, testing and implementation lifecycle.
- Current Government of Canada Secret clearance.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Government of Canada Top Secret security clearance.
- CBAP, CCBA or PMI-PBA certification.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience.
- 10+ years of experience working as a Senior Business Analyst, Senior Consultant or in a comparable role.
- 10+ years of business analysis and requirements-gathering experience using recognized analysis techniques.
- At least 5 years of experience working specifically as an Information Technology Business Analyst.
- Experience developing presentations and briefing materials for executives, senior management and stakeholders.
- Strong experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, documentation and prioritization.
