Nanny

Location: Carleton Place

We are looking for a caring, reliable, and fun part-time nanny to care for our daughter, who will be 18 months old when I return to work in August.

This position will officially begin in August, with an expected schedule of approximately 3 days per week (exact days and hours to be determined closer to my return-to-work date). Ideally, we are hoping to find someone who is available to start in June, working 1–2 days per week for a couple of hours at a time, to allow our daughter to become comfortable and to give us time to build a routine together before the official start.

Our daughter is an active, curious toddler, and we are looking for someone who prioritizes engaged, attentive care which would include: lots of outdoor time, play, and age-appropriate activities. We live on a large country property, so comfort being outside and exploring nature is important.

Responsibilities include:

- Providing loving, attentive care to our daughter
- Preparing and serving her meals/snacks during care hours
- Prioritizing outdoor play and activities throughout the day
- Light cleaning related only to the day’s activities (tidying toys, dishes used, etc.)

Additional details:
- We have two large, friendly dogs, so comfort around big dogs is required
- No heavy housekeeping or errands your focus will be on childcare

Ideal candidate:
- Has experience caring for toddlers
- ECE degree strongly preferred
- CPR & First Aid certified
- Able to provide references
- Willing to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Fun, patient, nurturing, and responsible
- Reliable and communicates well

Compensation is $25 per hour, reflecting the responsibilities of the role and our focus on attentive, high-quality childcare.
