This role is essential for the daily operation of our childcare facility, providing relief support in toddler and preschool classrooms. As a Casual Early Childhood Educator, you will promote an understanding of Anishinaabe language, monitor environments, and assist in implementing culturally-based learning experiences. Your work will significantly impact the well-being of Indigenous children under the guidance of the Child Care Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan balanced activities for various age groups

• Deliver experiences promoting Anishinaabe language and culture

• Organize materials and monitor for safety hazards

• Use observations to plan flexible activities

• Support food preparation and safe handling

Requirements:

• Two-year Early Childhood Education Diploma preferred

• One year of childcare experience with a High School Diploma considered

• Current First Aid and Infant CPR certification

• Criminal Reference Check required

• Understanding of Ojibway language is an asset
