Become a vital part of the Diefenbunker Museum as a Collections Management Project Contractor. This full-time position in Ottawa focuses on digitization and enhancing museum collections through active engagement and teamwork.
In this role, you will report to the Curator and contribute significantly to the museum's collections and archives. Your responsibilities include digitizing artifacts and archival materials, cataloguing, and organizing collections to enrich the museum's story. Collaborating with a dedicated team ensures that the Diefenbunker’s Cold War history is preserved for future generations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete digitization of 500 artifacts into MINISIS
• Manage ongoing cataloguing of archive and collection items
• Develop a comprehensive report on project achievements
• Actively work with the Collections Registrar
• Perform any other related project duties
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Proven ability for effective day-to-day management
• Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational capabilities
• Must provide a Police Record Check
