This full-time, permanent role requires advanced English and French language skills to create and verify compelling narratives across various platforms. The Senior Writer will monitor important issues related to fake news, collaborate with teams, and provide constructive feedback on production elements. You will be key in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of news content through comprehensive verification processes, targeting a diverse audience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research disinformation trends through diverse social media sources
• Authenticate public claims using OSINT techniques
• Write clear content for on-air and digital media
• Edit scripts and provide feedback to team members
• Coordinate collaborative storytelling with regional stations
Requirements:
• University degree in journalism or related field
• Minimum five years of experience in fact-checking or investigative journalism
• Advanced skills in English and French
• Experience in broadcasting and digital media
• Knowledge of digital tool development is a plus
