Secure Document Designer in the Design Department will leverage creative abilities to prepare conceptual designs and develop final designs for a wide range of security documents such as banknotes, passports, driver licences, and identification cards.
Responsibilities- Create conceptual models for security products including banknotes, secure travel documents, identity documents, certificates, and cards.
- Contribute to the development of new security feature integrations through novel design applications.
- Conduct research and prepare images and artwork for completed concept designs; create final artwork files for production.
- Prepare illustrations and drawings for concept designs.
- Prepare and present design models or proofs for customer presentation.
- Review conceptual designs with production staff and implement recommendations for production compliance.
- Create and develop secure linework for production.
- Participate in the approval process during press‑proof trials and initial production runs to achieve customer sign‑off.
- Maintain operational and comprehensive file management for all assigned projects.
- Interface with corporate sales management staff and customers to understand design requirements and communicate design rationale.
- Prepare comprehensive design presentations to support Design/Marketing initiatives.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts/Design or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. - Knowledge of graphic design principles, secure document design, integration of design elements with security features, and security print production processes.
- Proficiency with specialized security design software (JURA JSP or Giori “One”), Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft 365.
- 1+ years of experience in composition, design, and integration for security documents.
- Strong design, composition, illustration, and drawing skills with the ability to render portraits and subject matter in high detail.
- Creativity and research skills.
- Interpersonal skills: communication, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Accuracy and attention to detail (follow technical specifications).
- Organization and time‑management skills.
- Adaptability and self‑direction.
Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is mandatory.
