Join the House of Commons as Curator and take a leading role in managing Canada’s Parliamentary heritage. Exhibit your expertise in artefact preservation and public education.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the Parliamentary Precinct. You’ll combine your knowledge of history and museology to manage essential heritage items and develop engaging displays. Your strategic vision will help shape how the histories of Parliament are presented to the public.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the strategic care of historical collections
• Advise parliamentarians on heritage significance
• Design and implement public exhibitions and outreach
• Supervise capital works for collection preservation
• Ensure integrated conservation efforts across services
Requirements:
• Post-graduate degree in relevant fields
• 5 to 10 years relevant curatorial experience
• Strong knowledge of artefact conservation
• Proven leadership in heritage project management
• Willingness to travel for exhibitions
