Enhance your career at the Diefenbunker Museum as a Collections Management Project Contractor in Ottawa. This full-time, on-site role is focused on digitization and robust collection management.
Reporting to the Curator, your role will facilitate the museum’s objectives regarding collections stewardship. You will play a key part in digitizing a significant number of artifacts, assisting with cataloguing, and ensuring the meticulous documentation of collections. This position highlights your contributions to preserving Cold War heritage while engaging with a passionate museum team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Digitize and publish 500 artifacts into the MINISIS database
• Execute ongoing cataloguing and data entry tasks
• Prepare a final report detailing project accomplishments
• Collaborate with the Collections Registrar closely
• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in collections management
• Adept in operational processes and teamwork
• Excellent attention to detail and results-driven
• Strong strategic and problem-solving skills
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
