The Co-Editor-in-Chief will lead the editorial direction for The Canadian Veterinary Journal, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with CVMA's mission. Collaborating with the Manager, Journals, this position also addresses the evolving needs of veterinary professionals. Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in veterinary medicine and have relevant publication experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the peer-review process for Scientific Articles
• Solicit and edit articles, including special reports and commentaries
• Write or solicit editorials throughout the year
• Maintain consistent style and policy across publications
• Develop contacts within the veterinary community for article generation
Requirements:
• Doctoral degree in veterinary medicine or related field
• Proven record of scientific publications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Experience with AI tools in publishing is an asset
• Fluency in French is a plus
Lead in veterinary journalism with your insights and expertise while contributing to The CVJ's mission.
