Position: Content and Publications Coordinator )

Summary

Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is seeking a Content and Publications Coordinator to join our evolving Communications team. Reporting to the Team Leader, Corporate Communications, this role supports strategic communications planning and leads the coordination and production of corporate editorial content, including newsletters, corporate reports, memos and bulletins. This is a hands‑on role at the heart of our content production. You will lead delivery of DCC’s weekly newsletter, reviewing submissions and working with a writer‑editor to refine content.

You will also support the production of major corporate publications, including the Annual Report and Corporate Plan. This includes coordinating inputs, keeping timelines on track, supporting proofreading and approvals, and working with external designers to bring final products together. As part of this work, you will build and manage a library of digital assets, plan photography needs, guide photo shoots where required, and curate images that strengthen how we tell our story.

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, keeps projects moving, and isn’t afraid to follow up to ensure deadlines are met. You’ll be comfortable juggling multiple deliverables, have a sharp eye for detail, and bring sound judgment whether refining a sentence, selecting an image, or helping stakeholders stay on track. You work well independently and collaborate effectively to get results.

What

you bring

  • Editorial judgment and quality: A sharp eye for detail and the ability to quickly proofread and strengthen content, ensuring consistency with style and corporate voice.
  • Project coordination and delivery: Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables, keep timelines on track, and follow through to completion.
  • Stakeholder coordination: Confidence working with senior leaders and contributors, including following up to gather inputs and keep projects moving.
  • Production and collaboration: Experience working with writers, designers and external vendors to bring content from draft to final product.
  • Creativity and visual sense: Good judgment in shaping content and selecting or guiding visuals to support storytelling and layout.
  • Initiative and accountability: A self‑starter who works independently, anticipates needs, and takes responsibility for delivering results.
  • Organization and adaptability: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage shifting priorities without losing attention to detail.
  • Accessibility and best practices: Knowledge of plain language, accessibility and inclusive communications principles is an asset.
