Position SummaryThe Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualization, designing and producing a wide range of specialized graphic and/or illustrative material to include but not limited to, creating and manipulating graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into consolidated and seamless multimedia programs.
Responsibilities- Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with multiple teams for a wide range of materials
- Translate strategic direction into high-quality design within an established brand identity
- Develop concepts and execute original content determining ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout
- Design and produce art and copy layouts for visual communications media including collateral, branding, identity, packaging, retail scape and large format graphics
- Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
- Work independently and cooperatively on multiple projects with marketing team, meeting deadlines and budget constraints, and scheduling project implementation based on workload
- Examine existing processes, identifying flaws and creating solutions to improve design capabilities
- Update and maintain internal databases of designs, photography, and video
- Ensure projects are executed in a timely manner, obtain necessary approvals, and reflect company quality and graphic standards
- Manage Hard Rock image usage/transfers, logo usage/transfers
- Oversee pre-press to ensure quality and accuracy for all agency production
- Communicate with print vendors on spec, hand‑off assets and ensure designs are error‑free prior to sending to press
- Plan production schedules for various steps in the design process
- Serve as a liaison and provide technical advice with vendors on design and technical graphic issues
- Adapt to changes in prioritization or schedule of items in the work queue if needed
- Translate agency branding into property collateral and signage needs
- Attend and participate in off‑property functions and events as assigned
- Participate in department meetings as needed
- Perform work regularly and reliably. Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, art, or a similar discipline
- 5+ years’ experience (academic and professional) with design software
- Proven experience with graphic design, with a strong portfolio of work
- Exceptional creativity and innovative design skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and time‑management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Excellent project, time‑management skills, ability to multitask, and prioritize
- Flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed
- Experience with Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and similar
Ability to stand and sit for extended periods. Duties may be performed in a professional office setting but may require presence on the Casino Floor. Exposure to excessive noise may occur.
Working ConditionsPerformed in a highly regulated and controlled environment with occasional exposure to casino‑related environmental factors, including noise.
