Technical Writer

Position: Technical Writer Contract
Join Babcock as a Technical Writer on a 6-month contract in Ottawa, ON. Enhance national defense documentation through writing, editing, and collaboration to support critical services and projects.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive technical writing and editing support for the Marine & Mission Systems Department. You'll be tasked with proofreading, coordinating document production, and collaborating with subject matter experts to create effective documentation. A focus on clarity, conciseness, and corporate consistency will be key as you deliver insights and streamline communication.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proofread and copyedit technical documents for accuracy

• Edit documents using MS Word for consistency and clarity

• Coordinate production of engineering reports and proposals

• Support the creation of online and print documentation

• Collaborate with stakeholders to produce usable documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Technical Writing or related field

• Over three years of professional writing/editing experience

• Advanced communication skills with a focus on grammar

• Proficient in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, and document systems

• Experience with DND or PSPC documentation (asset)
