Controller, Finance & Banking, Financial Manager

Our client is a growing Saa S company (approximately $5–10 M in annual revenue) in North America. They operate with a lean, high-performing team and are scaling quickly. This is an exciting opportunity to join as their Controller and top finance person , with full ownership of the finance function and direct visibility with executive leadership. Oversee all accounting operations including FP&A, Reporting, AR, payroll, and general ledger; prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow); lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes; maintain internal controls and audit readiness; own Saa S revenue recognition and deferred revenue management; support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning; analyze Saa S metrics (MRR, ARR, churn, CAC, LTV) and translate financial data into clear insights for leadership;

build scalable finance processes and reduce manual work through automation and modern tools; lead and mentor a small finance team (AP and AR); partner directly with the President and executive leadership on business decisions.

Requirements Current Saa S industry experience + CPA designation or pursuing - strong understanding of Saa S revenue recognition (ASC 606 / IFRS 15); CPA designation or close to completion; 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience; proven ability to build and improve processes; AI-savvy with a continuous improvement mindset; willingness to be hands-on and get into the details; strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance stakeholders Nice to Have:
Experience leading a small finance team; entrepreneurial mindset with comfort in a fast-paced, scaling environment; experience in high-growth or venture-backed Saa S companies Additional Information:
