The Accounting Specialist serves a pivotal function in the Finance Team, directly assisting the VP-Finance. Responsibilities include executing monthly financial closes, managing accounts payable/receivable, and preparing financial reconciliations. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented and able to thrive in a structured work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute monthly financial closes with accuracy

• Manage accounts payable and receivable workflows

• Analyze financial data and report discrepancies

• Ensure compliance with grant and accounting standards

• Maintain detailed records for audits and reporting

Requirements:

• Associate degree in accounting or related field preferred

• At least 3 years of relevant bookkeeping experience

• Proficient in Quick Books, Sage Intacct, or equivalent

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
