Position: Senior Strategic Financial Analyst Role
Leverage your finance expertise as a Senior Strategic Financial Analyst with the Canada Council. Contribute to investment portfolio management and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with public sector standards.

This pivotal role requires a minimum of five years’ experience in finance or accounting, ideally in government or public sectors. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly reconciliations for investment portfolios

• Monitor public sector accounting standards rigorously

• Act as a liaison with investment managers and auditors

• Coordinate and prepare for Investment Committee meetings

• Analyze budget variances and offer financial advice

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in commerce, accounting or finance

• CPA designation or progress towards obtaining it valued

• Minimum five years experience in accounting or finance

• Strong knowledge of public sector accounting standards

• Excellent analytical and communication skills
