Senior Financial Officer - Research Operations

This role partners with CoVaRR-Net and the Serology and Diagnostics High-Throughput Facility to streamline financial operations. As a Senior Financial Officer, you will ensure compliance with both uOttawa and CIHR policies, maintain financial integrity, and provide analytical insights for optimal budget utilization. Your contributions will be vital to supporting impactful health research.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyze funding budgets for accuracy

• Act as liaison with uOttawa Financial department

• Ensure compliance through financial transaction processes

• Prepare complex financial reports on schedules

• Supervise junior administrative support roles

Requirements:

• Advanced understanding of accounting principles

• At least 3 years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of applicable financial software

• Ability to meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment

• Bilingual ability in English and French
