Join Export Development Canada as an Underwriter, specializing in International Financing Guarantee, in a hybrid work setup. Utilize your expertise in financial risk assessment to assist Canadian businesses in global markets.
This role at EDC, available at levels 13-18, fosters a collaborative environment where you will assess credit risks and interact with diverse clients. The Underwriter will support Canadian exports while ensuring comprehensive customer satisfaction throughout the financial transaction process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze and mitigate transaction risks effectively
• Assist clients and banks with ongoing service needs
• Manage documentation and legal reviews for transactions
• Prepare detailed transaction and credit presentations
• Coach junior transactors on underwriting processes
Requirements:
• Relevant undergraduate degree in Finance or Business
• Experience tailored to level: 1 year (level 13) to 7+ years (level 18)
• Solid understanding of financing and lending practices
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Additional certifications (CFA, CPA) advantageous
