The Family Information Line Counsellor plans, organizes, and coordinates the operations and delivery of the Virtual MFRC.

• Assess and review client needs to recommend the appropriate program or service.
• Provide individual, couple and family counselling, referring clients to professional or community resources.
• Provide crisis intervention to CAF members and their families.
• Deliver programme consultation to CAF members, families and military entities.

• College diploma or certificate in Social Work, Sociology or a related field.
• Several years of experience in social services or a related field.
• Membership in good standing with a provincial College of Social Workers or related professional body is considered an asset.

• Researching, planning, organising and coordinating information and counselling services.
• Applying policies, procedures and regulations.
• Providing supportive counselling and crisis intervention.
• Using critical‑incident stress‑debrief procedures.
• Coordinating projects.
• Using communication systems.
• Facilitating and monitoring social media sites.
• Planning and conducting presentations.
• Preparing reports.
• Building working rapport.
• Conducting virtual programming.
• Experience in the mental‑health industry is an advantage.

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location that allows the employee to work part‑time from the corporate office and part‑time from home, following the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy subject to managerial approval. Interviews will be conducted virtually. Must successfully complete a reliability‑status security screening.
