Position: Modelling Specialist at CMHC (Hybrid)

As a key member of CMHC’s Model Risk Management team, you will contribute to model development, validation, and interpretation. Candidates should bring a strong quantitative foundation and at least five years of experience in modelling or analytics within financial institutions. You will ensure compliance with industry standards and enhance risk management practices effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Validate various models, including financial and risk models

• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks and guidelines

• Apply quantitative methods and statistical analysis (Python, R, SAS)

• Co-develop models for pricing and business analytics

• Analyze business challenges and provide expert recommendations

Requirements:

• Postgraduate degree in quantitative disciplines

• Minimum five years' experience in modelling or analytics

• Proficient in Python, with knowledge of R/SAS

• Understanding of model risk management and governance

• Excellent analytical and communication skills
