Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support its investment operations and financial reporting team for an initial 3m contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in investment accounting or fund accounting who can step into an established process and contribute from day one.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the accurate reporting, reconciliation, and settlement of investment activity across a diverse portfolio that includes equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives. You'll collaborate with portfolio managers, custodians, and brokers to help maintain the integrity of the organization's investment reporting and cash management processes.

- You’ll oversee daily trade reconciliation and settlement activities, working closely with custodians, brokers, and internal portfolio managers to resolve discrepancies.
- You’ll prepare and deliver weekly investment and cash reporting, ensuring information is complete, accurate, and timely.
- You’ll maintain and update cash projection schedules by incorporating trading activity across equities, bonds, foreign exchange, and derivative transactions.
- You’ll review financial data extracted from the custodian platform, perform reconciliations, and investigate variances.
- You’ll support investment operations through invoice coding, expense reviews, and ongoing financial reporting activities.
- 3-5 years of experience in investment operations, fund accounting, investment accounting, or pension finance.
- Strong understanding of trade settlement, reconciliations, investment reporting, and cash management.
- Experience working with custodians, brokers, or institutional investment portfolios.
- Knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and derivatives.
- Advanced analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial reporting or custody platforms.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
