CMHC Senior Analyst, Actuarial Expertise

As a temporary full-time Senior Analyst, you'll tackle diverse challenges within the Finance - Insurance and Securitization team. This role demands a strong background in quantitative disciplines, and involves deep expertise in actuarial valuation and financial forecasting. Engage with stakeholders to provide timely, high-quality analysis while adapting to evolving needs in the mortgage sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead actuarial projects and financial projections

• Develop and assess IFRS 17 insurance models

• Monitor model outputs for accuracy and quality

• Ensure proper documentation and controls for processes

• Respond to ad-hoc actuarial requests from management

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline

• Three years of experience in modeling, preferably in finance

• Proficient in actuarial methodologies and risk analysis

• Strong programming skills in SAS, R, and Python

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
