st to support costing, pricing, and program risk and commercial management activities across our aerospace and defence portfolio.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to build expertise in financial modelling, cost analysis, price strategy, and defence contracting, while working closely with experienced business development, program management, and technical teams. You will contribute to competitive bids, program financial planning, decision support for key strategic initiatives, and deal reviews, with opportunities for extensive C-suite and senior executive engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development of financial models and cost estimates, from detailed cost inputs through to pricing outputs
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing costing templates, tools, and financial models
- Perform basic to intermediate financial analysis, including scenario comparisons and sensitivity analysis
- Work with programs, engineering, and operations subject matter experts to gather and validate cost inputs
- Lead the preparation of costing and pricing materials for internal reviews
- Identify potential risks and inconsistencies in cost data and escalate appropriately
- Assist Finance and Accounting teams in the transition from contract award to program execution:
- Support documentation of cost assumptions and model structures
- Help ensure alignment between financial models and program tracking/reporting tools
- Contribute to maintaining consistency between budgets and financial reporting outputs
- Provide support during bid and proposal development activities, including pricing data preparation in accordance with internal review requirements and customer formats
- Assist in reviewing contract terms and conditions, focusing on understanding financial implications
- Support senior team members in contract review and negotiation preparation:
- Deliver clear, data-driven pricing recommendations to leadership
- Create dashboards and reports using BI tools
- Translate complex data into actionable business insights
- Develop knowledge of aerospace and defence costing practices and contracting environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand program drivers and cost structures
- Participate in training, workshops, and internal learning opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field
- 1–4 years of relevant experience (internships, co-op experience, or early-career roles)
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and foundational financial modelling skills
- Basic understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, or cost estimation
- Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
- Effective communication and willingness to learn in a team environment
- Ability to summarize large amounts of data and information, extract the most critical parameters for executive briefing and create presentation materials in MS Power Point
- Eligibility for NATO Secret clearance (or higher) is required
