WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN Assistant Front Office manager aT THE ANDAZ OTTAWAWe have an exciting opportunity within our Front Office as an Assistant Front Office Manager.The Assistant Front office manager will assist in running the day-to-day activities of the Guest Relations, Valet, Night Audit and Bell Staff. This position will help lead the front office operations to deliver a seamless and memorable service experience for every guest, from pre-arrival to departure. By embracing and modeling Andaz’s values, they will work to ensure the complete handling of guest needs and professional and timely resolution of guest issues.
They will help coach colleagues and hold them accountable; ensure that responsibilities are met, and assignments are carried out in accordance with our standards; and will help motivate, train, and develop assigned staff.
Assist the Rooms Manager in efficiently managing the department according to the established team goals
Delegation of tasks and supervision of all front office colleagues, ensuring their duties are carried out with the utmost efficiency and professionalism
Handling all guest complaints, as well as internal customer complaints and enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
Encourages colleagues to be creative and innovative, challenging and recognizing them for their contributions to the success of the operation
Colleague training, development and performance management.
Ensuring all colleagues deliver the brand promise and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
Assist in the scheduling, ensuring the department is adequatelymannedaccording to occupancy,service and costs
Skills and QualificationsMinimum 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Manager or Team Leader in Front Office within a four or five-star hotel environment
Proven experience in supervising, motivating and training others
Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills with advanced proficiency in the English language
Experience with Opera and Hyatt systems would be an advantage.
