We are currently seeking an Environmental Services Associate – Laundry & Housekeeping to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in creating clean, comfortable living spaces and enjoys making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.
Position Summary
The Environmental Services Associate supports the overall cleanliness, comfort, and presentation of the community through housekeeping and laundry services. Team members in this role help create an environment where residents feel at home through attentive service, strong teamwork, and a hospitality-focused mindset.
This position may include weekday, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational needs.
What You’ll Do Housekeeping & Cleaning- Clean and maintain resident suites, common areas, washrooms, hallways, dining areas, and staff spaces
- Dust, vacuum, mop, sanitize, and complete daily cleaning assignments
- Ensure resident spaces are clean, safe, welcoming, and well-presented
- Follow infection prevention and cleaning protocols
- Wash, dry, fold, organize, and return resident laundry
- Handle linens, towels, and housekeeping inventory appropriately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas and equipment
- Report equipment concerns or supply shortages to management
- Interact with residents in a warm, respectful, and professional manner
- Support a positive resident experience through friendly and attentive service
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support daily operations
- Respond professionally to requests and changing priorities
- Previous housekeeping, laundry, hotel, hospitality, or retirement living experience is considered an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
