Overview

Our client, a first‑class resort property in Canada, seeks an outstanding Director of Conference Services and Events to oversee conference services for their luxury property.

• Ensure conference services are delivered at the highest standards and aligned with resort goals.
• Lead the conference services and events department, manage and execute short‑ and long‑term planning based on budgeted sales and profits, and exceed these targets when possible.
• Train and supervise staff, build long‑term customer relationships, and achieve sales objectives.
• Develop and implement effective marketing plans.
• Work with conference staff to solicit and book functions, plan merchandising, and execute functions.

• Minimum 5 years of luxury resort/hotel catering or conference services experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Hold or be in the process of obtaining a CMP designation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and experience with a PMS and sales program.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work with partners.

Salary in the $85,000 range, plus participation in an incentive bonus plan and an attractive package of additional benefits.
