Director of Events at Luxury Resort

Lead the conference services at a prestigious resort property in Canada as the Director of Events. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality service, staff training, and strategic event planning.

As the Director of Conference Services and Events, you will oversee event execution and ensure alignment with resort objectives. You will spearhead the department's operations, implement marketing strategies, and focus on exceeding budgeted sales and profit targets. Training staff and cultivating long-term customer relationships are also key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure high standards in conference services and event execution

• Lead the department's planning and budget management

• Train, supervise, and mentor conference services staff

• Develop and roll out effective marketing strategies for events

• Work with teams to book and plan various functions

Requirements:

• 5 years in luxury hotel or resort catering experience

• At least 3 years in a senior management role

• CMP designation in progress or complete

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office and PMS software
