About the Role
The Head of HR Strategic Planning will work within the store support team to directly impact stores across Canada. This role follows a hybrid remote/on‑site schedule, with on‑site time in Ottawa.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and align a long‑term operational plan with business and HR strategies, ensuring stakeholder understanding, defined success metrics, and effective execution.
- Lead employee engagement efforts by integrating employee input into plans and implementing strategies that enhance team connectivity and productivity.
- Develop, implement and oversee the change management framework for HR initiatives, ensuring strategic alignment, stakeholder engagement, resource allocation, and communication excellence.
- Oversee strategic HR projects from conception through to completion, including budgeting, resource allocation and risk management, ensuring milestones are met in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
- Oversee the implementation of the HR Shared Services model in the short term.
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- HR certification (CHRP, CHRL) a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least five years as a people leader managing a team of high‑performing HR professionals.
- Considerable knowledge of project management and planning best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to act as a thought leader and change agent.
- HRIS knowledge and experience with a system such as Workday.
- Experience in change management, program design, and rollout plans.
Ottawa, Ontario (2480 Walkley Road, Ottawa, K1G 6A9). The role is full‑time and follows a hybrid schedule: on‑site Ottawa office 2 days a week, otherwise remote.

- Short‑Term Incentive Plan – bonus up to 30 % of base salary.
