Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Our office is in North Kanata.
Employment Type: Full Time.
Salary Range: $60,000 to $70,000.
Position OverviewThe HR Coordinator will play a central role in developing and strengthening Cord3’s HR foundation. This position supports the implementation of our new HRIS system and helps design the processes, tools, and metrics that will guide recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll administration, and overall people operations.

Key Responsibilities HRIS Implementation & Optimization:- Support the rollout, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the new HRIS system.
- Assist with data migration, testing, documentation, and user training.
- Develop workflows, templates, and reporting dashboards within the HRIS.
- Build and maintain standardized recruitment processes, including job posting templates, interview guides, and candidate tracking workflows.
- Coordinate the full‑cycle recruitment process in partnership with hiring managers.
- Create a structured onboarding program that ensures a consistent and engaging new‑hire experience.
- Assist in drafting, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal standards.
- Support payroll preparation by collecting and validating employee data.
- Maintain attendance and time‑tracking systems, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Collaborate with Finance to resolve discrepancies and improve payroll processes.
- Help design and implement performance management tools, cycles, and documentation.
- Coordinate performance, review timelines, and support managers in using tools effectively.
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards that track key metrics, such as turnover, recruitment funnel data, onboarding effectiveness, attendance trends, and performance outcomes.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide regular reporting to leadership to support strategic decision‑making.
- Support office operations, including facilities coordination, supplies procurement, vendor management, and general administrative support.
- Coordinate office logistics related to onboarding, equipment, and workspace readiness.
- Support company events, meetings, and internal communications as required.
- Ensure a safe, professional, and efficient working environment for all employees.
- Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in HR coordination or generalist support roles (tech or startup experience is an asset).
- Strong interest in HR technology, data analytics, and process design.
- Experience with HRIS systems (implementation experience is a strong advantage).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- A natural communicator who excels at connecting with others and enjoys teaching, coaching, and helping people grow.
- High proficiency with Excel/Sheets, reporting tools, and data visualization platforms.
