Adecco is currently recruiting for a Bilingual Senior Human Resources Classifier for a full-time, 48-week contract based on-site in Ottawa (Nepean). This role is ideal for an experienced federal classification professional with strong expertise in human resources, organizational design, Treasury Board-compliant classification, and executive-level advisory work. Must hold or be eligible for a Reliability clearance
In this role, you will support organizational restructuring initiatives by analyzing classification frameworks, identifying gaps and overlaps, and developing compliant reorganization options. Success requires advanced bilingualism, extensive federal classification experience, and the ability to confidently present recommendations to senior executives.   • Salary Range: $90,000 - $115,000 per year
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Contract (48 weeks)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Responsibilities:
  • Provide classification expertise to support organizational restructuring initiatives
  • Review the current classification framework and analyze gaps, overlaps, and optimization opportunities
  • Review organizational charts, job descriptions, and classification rationales
  • Conduct comprehensive classification and organizational design analyses
  • Develop a minimum of two viable reorganization options, including classification impacts and Treasury Board compliance
  • Prepare detailed briefing materials with clear recommendations and supporting rationale
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior executives and respond to inquiries
  • Advise senior leadership on classification implications and organizational design strategies
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada
  • Certificate, diploma, or degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour, Social Sciences, or a related field from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Fully bilingual in French and English (advanced level required)
  • Minimum of 48 months of relevant experience performing duties such as:
    • Reviewing benchmark decisions and advising senior staff on classification impacts
    • Advising and debriefing employees on sensitive classification actions
    • Coordinating departmental classification strategies and committees
    • Advising senior officials on classification activities
    • Coordinating training on classification policies and priorities
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within the past 7 years providing federal classification services, including organizational design and presenting recommendations to senior executives
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience within the past 5 years working on classification or organizational design projects related to real property or infrastructure positions within a large federal department, including executive-level presentations
