- Provide interpretation, guidance, and advice on HR-related policies, programs, and complex processes.
- Investigate and respond to standard and non-standard HR inquiries, consulting with subject matter experts for complex issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries using an intake management system and support HR functional areas such as leave, benefits, probation administration, performance management, and the Employee Care SharePoint site.
- Participate in student onboarding and training.
- Coordinate retiree death processes and administer long-service awards and EDC family scholarships with internal and external partners.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, building effective relationships within and outside HR to deliver high-quality professional services, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Support the delivery and analysis of ECC statistics and HR data, interpreting results to identify solutions.
- Validate quarterly international expat allowances.
- Identify gaps in information or documentation and coordinate small projects to develop new or improved content.
- Review existing operations and implement innovative processes for continuous improvement.
- Identify instances of non-compliance and report or elevate issues as appropriate.
- Support inclusion, diversity, and equity initiatives and represent the organization’s practices professionally.
- Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in human resources management or related experience.
- Strong employee focus and demonstrated initiative.
- Excellent customer service, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with excellent judgment.
- Detail oriented, highly organized and able to work independently.
- Basic knowledge of human resources management principles and practices.
- Bilingual in English & French.
- CHRP/CHRL designation (or in progress).
