Job SummaryTYLin is seeking a North America Senior Benefits Specialist to join us on a 12‑Month Contract to assist with the strategy, design, and administration of employee benefits programs across the U.S. and Canada. This role is instrumental in supporting the company’s growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, ensuring effective due diligence and seamless integration of benefits programs. The ideal candidate combines deep regional benefits expertise with hands‑on M&A experience in a fast‑paced, project‑based environment.
Responsibilities& Qualifications Benefits Strategy & Administration (U.S. & Canada)
- Implement and manage health, welfare, retirement, and wellness programs across North America.
- Ensure programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with TYLin’s workforce and business strategy.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to support a diverse employee population (engineering, design, and corporate functions).
- Monitor plan performance, utilization, and cost trends; recommend improvements based on data and market benchmarks.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS/CRA requirements, and applicable provincial regulations).
- Maintain plan documentation, policies, and audit readiness.
- Monitor legislative changes and assess impact on benefits programs.
- Support relationships with brokers, carriers, TPAs, and consultants.
- Lead RFPs, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management when needed.
- Drive cost efficiency while maintaining high‑quality service delivery.
- Develop and deliver clear, effective benefits communications and education materials.
- Support open enrollment and ongoing employee engagement initiatives.
- Partner with HR teams to ensure consistent messaging, especially during acquisitions and organizational changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in benefits or total rewards within North America.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian benefits practices and regulatory environments.
- Experience in a professional services, engineering, or consulting organization preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading benefits due diligence and post‑acquisition integration, including plan evaluation, risk assessment, and harmonization of programs.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen (cost modeling, budgeting, risk assessment).
- Project management experience managing complex, multi‑entity integrations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a growth‑oriented, acquisition‑driven environment.
- Detail‑oriented with a strategic mindset.
- CEBS, CBP, or similar certification.
- Experience with Workday or comparable HRIS platforms.
- Familiarity with cross‑border (U.S./Canada) benefits coordination.
TYLin is committed to pay equity. The base compensation range for this position is $90,000‑$110,000 for the local market.
