Enhance your career as a Payroll Technician, managing essential payroll functions in a supportive HR environment. This full-time role involves a day shift and 75 hours every pay period.
As you report to the Payroll and Human Resources Information Systems Manager, your work will encompass clarifying payroll-related discrepancies, responding to email inquiries, and preparing critical reports for Service Canada. Your attention to detail and strong communication will be vital as you manage deductions and allowances tied to employee benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contact supervisors to clarify payroll scheduling issues
• Manage the Payroll email account responding to requests
• Prepare monthly remittance reports for union dues and benefits
• Handle deductions for gym access and other programs
• Prepare reports for new hires for Service Canada
Requirements:
• Community college diploma in accounting or equivalent
• At least one year of payroll experience required
• Must be bilingual in French and English
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Discretion in handling confidential payroll information
