PIPSC seeks a dedicated professional for its Employment Relations Officer position, focusing on diverse labour relations issues. In this 12-month full-time role, you will leverage your knowledge of federal legislation and collective bargaining to promote inclusivity. Your expertise will guide effective representation for members while mentoring stewards and facilitating a diverse workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support members through formal labour relations processes
• Develop resources for managing national policy issues
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of the Institute
• Perform comprehensive legal and regulatory research
• Mentor stewards to enhance their effectiveness
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in labour relations or equivalent experience
• 3 to 5 years in a labour relations role
• Fluency in English;
French is an asset
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Proven experience in grievance representation
