Position: IT Recruitment Consultant /Government

Ottawa, ON

Role Summary

Cyber Experts is seeking an IT Recruitment Consultant to support government recruitment for the Government of Canada. The candidate will use strong communication, organizational and technology skills to drive all aspects of recruitment and provide exceptional customer service to candidates and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Source quality candidates for multiple requisitions, including contract roles, permanent placements and executive searches.
  • Perform high‑quality phone and in‑person interviews and engage as needed.
  • Prepare candidate applications, including resumes, screening notes and additional documentation.
  • Prepare and coach candidates for interview cycles and schedule interviews.
  • Update notes and profiles accurately for leads and candidates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Work with CSO / ACSO to obtain permission or consent for security clearance verification, conduct background checks, reference checks, coordinate start dates and retrieve necessary documentation.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge or experience recruiting for Federal Government jobs.
  • Track record of connecting with motivated candidates to learn about their skills, match them to job opportunities and develop pathways to help them achieve career goals.
  • Ability to leverage social networks and industry communities to build a strong pipeline of in‑demand candidates and loyal clients.
  • Strong initiative to deliver on metrics and commitments without distractions.
  • A willingness to grow into an expert and adapt to a fast‑paced, changing world of work by staying curious, asking questions and learning more about the area of specialty.
  • Ideally 3 months‑1 year of recruitment experience in an IT recruitment agency or high‑growth tech company, or novice in recruitment (students or interns are encouraged to apply).
Compensation

Range $60–$100 / hr, depending on years of experience.
