Duties
Join a dynamic labour relations team where your expertise truly makes an impact. You will provide trusted strategic advice and guidance on grievances, discipline, duty to accommodate, performance management, and the interpretation of collective agreements, directives, and policies. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with senior management, offering expert counsel on diverse and evolving matters, and to participate in collective bargaining processes.

Conditions of employment
Reliability Status security clearance – all candidates must obtain both a Site Access Clearance and a PPS Enhanced Reliability Status. Candidates will complete a personal history questionnaire, pre‑interview questionnaire, and undergo fingerprinting. The screening investigates loyalty, law‑enforcement, financial, internet, and reference checks. Candidates who do not meet the security screening requirements will be removed from the hiring process.
Education
A degree from a recognized university in a field related to the position such as human resources, industrial relations, or administration, or an acceptable combination of training, education, and/or experience related to the position.
Experiences
- E1 – Significant experience providing advice to management on complex or sensitive labour relations matters.
- E2 – Experience preparing written materials for management to support decision‑making (e.g., disciplinary reports, grievance summaries, briefing notes, fact‑finding or administrative investigation reports).
- E3 – Recent experience interpreting collective agreements and employer policies (within the last five years).
- E4 – Experience advising and guiding management on grievance processes, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- E5 – Experience analyzing labour relations issues and developing interpretations or recommendations for senior labour relations advisors and front‑line supervisors.
Knowledge
- K1 – Knowledge and understanding of employment procedures, policies, and collective agreements.
- K2 – Strong understanding of applicable labour relations legislation, regulations, and related frameworks.

Asset experiences
- AE1 – Experience collaborating with union representatives to address and resolve workplace issues.
- AE2 – Experience in conflict resolution, negotiation, mediation, or facilitation.
- AE3 – Experience working in a security or law‑enforcement environment.
- AE4 – Experience coordinating and participating in union–management consultation meetings, including preparing meeting minutes and ensuring appropriate follow‑up actions.
Language requirements (essential for the job)
Applicants must be bilingual in English and French. A self‑assessment test in a second language is available before completing the application. Additional language experience may be assessed at a later date.
