Position: Employer Liaison for Skilled Trades
Join the YMCA of the National Capital Region as an Employer Liaison dedicated to empowering newcomers pursuing careers in skilled trades. This impactful role focuses on recruitment, outreach, and workshop facilitation.

As part of the YMCA team, you will ensure seamless program facilitation and enhance community awareness of skilled trades opportunities. Your responsibilities include developing workshops, connecting with local employers, and recruiting participants for job placements. This position emphasizes a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in support of our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead outreach initiatives to promote skills programs

• Develop and facilitate pre-employment workshops

• Connect with employers for work placements

• Implement program procedures and guidelines

• Recruit employers and guest speakers for events

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in a related field

• Fluent in English; bilingualism an asset

• Experience in recruitment or employment counselling

• Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office

• Strong facilitation and interpersonal communication abilities
