As the Manager, Global Compensation Solutions
, you will be joining an organization that values and models diversity, inclusion and equity while being responsible for:

  • Setting the strategic direction for IDRC’s global compensation and total rewards programs and ensuring their alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Overseeing the effective delivery and continuous improvement of benefits, payroll, HR systems, job classification and relocation services at headquarters and overseas.
  • Providing authoritative advice and guidance to senior management on global compensation trends, areas of risk and overall competitiveness.
  • Leading a team of HR professionals, establishing priorities, managing performance and fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.

You Have:
  • An undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field, with a strong foundation in compensation and total rewards. A Master’s degree or membership in a recognized professional HR association (e.g., CHRP/CHRL or equivalent) is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in both French and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience across multiple areas of Human Resources, including significant experience in compensation and benefits, and at least five (5) years leading and managing a team of HR professionals.
  • An in-depth understanding of total rewards principles, market competitiveness, internal equity and international HR practices.
  • Proven ability to interpret market data, policies, legislation and collective agreements and translate them into sound recommendations.
  • Strong expertise in payroll operations, HR information systems, and service-provider oversight.
  • Experience in job evaluation and classification and in international or global compensation programs, including expatriate or overseas benefits, is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within a unionized environment is preferred.
