This position supports the HR team and the Director in diverse HR areas, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance. Your expertise will guide policies that align with AFN's mission to advocate for First Nations. This is your chance to enhance HR practices in a collaborative environment dedicated to social justice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct full-cycle recruitment and background checks
• Support managers with HR advice and employee performance
• Organize onboarding and employee orientation
• Manage training compliance and professional development
• Handle payroll management and benefits administration
Requirements:
• Degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar
• At least 5 years in HR roles
• Strong knowledge of labor laws
• Experience with HRIS platforms
• Bilingualism considered a plus
