AFN HR Generalist Position

Become a key player in human resources at the Assembly of First Nations in Ottawa. This full-time HR Generalist role emphasizes recruitment, employee support, and compliance initiatives crucial for organizational success.

This position supports the HR team and the Director in diverse HR areas, from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and compliance. Your expertise will guide policies that align with AFN's mission to advocate for First Nations. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct full-cycle recruitment and background checks

• Support managers with HR advice and employee performance

• Organize onboarding and employee orientation

• Manage training compliance and professional development

• Handle payroll management and benefits administration

Requirements:

• Degree in HR, Business Administration, or similar

• At least 5 years in HR roles

• Strong knowledge of labor laws

• Experience with HRIS platforms

• Bilingualism considered a plus
