Reporting to the Director of HR, this position is focused on leading a team of HR professionals in providing advisory services to managers and employees. The Manager of Human Resources serves as both a leader and a key subject matter expert in all aspects of Human Resources.

LRO is delighted to be working with a Crown Corporation to facilitate the hire of a Bilingual Manager, Human Resources for a one-year term. Reporting to the Director of HR, this position is focused on leading a team of HR professionals in providing advisory services to managers and employees. The Manager of Human Resources serves as both a leader and a key subject matter expert in all aspects of Human Resources.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide support and guidance to management team on employee engagement, performance management, career development and succession planning
- Oversees the daily operations of human resources including talent acquisition and retention, labour relations, performance management, compensation and all HR programs
- Contributes to several HR working groups that ensure compliance and provide guidance to the HR function
- Provides coaching and mentorship to HR team members
- Collaborates with the Director of HR on strategic HR initiatives
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Post secondary education in Human Resources, Labour/Industrial Relations or related field with an HR designation being considered an asset
- Five plus years of relevant HR experience including experience in Employee Relations, HR Programs and Performance Management
- Experience leading HR teams
- Bilingual French/English
- Knowledge of federal employment legislation with experience in this work environment considered an asset
- The ability to hold a federal government security clearance/Secret level
This position is a full time/one year term position offering an annual salary of $135,000 to $150,000 with a comprehensive benefits package that includes a pension. They are conveniently located downtown and offer a hybrid work arrangement that will see most employees in office once or twice weekly with occasional exceptions.
