Overview
Relationship Manager - Canada Defence e focuses on Canadian Defence with the Canadian Federal team to expand GHD’s footprint with the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) and Defence Construction Canada (DCC).
Responsibilities- Demonstrate world-class client relationship management, contributing to the growth of GHD’s Enterprise Client Portfolio (ECP).
- Represent the client’s perspective across enterprise geographies and cultures; identify growth opportunities and share best practices to help clients achieve objectives.
- Coach, mentor, and support the Client Engagement Team and broader business throughout the client journey; continuously improve client relationships, experiences, and delivery while achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Lead or participate in winning procurement responses for Canada’s Defence; understand Defence procurement approaches (DND/DCC) and related programs.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers within the Canadian Defence sector; ensure client satisfaction and key partnerships.
- Contribute to or lead GHD’s go-to-market strategy for Canadian Defence opportunities; gather information to position GHD for current, near-term, and long-term opportunities.
- Understand Canada’s Defence operational and modernization needs and broader multi-year programs to identify growth opportunities for GHD.
- Lead or participate in CRM data entry and maintenance to ensure quality data for customer retention and business development activities.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a field related to GHD services; professional accreditation preferred.
- Minimum 15 years' experience working within Canadian Defence in an area related to GHD services.
- Significant managerial experience—collaborating, supervising, directing resources to achieve results within tight time frames.
- Strong ability to form collaborative relationships with clients and internal teams across a broad geographic scope.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship management skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and in fast-paced environments.
- High accuracy and attention to detail; ability to synthesize insights to support business decisions.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills; ability to address needs with tact and empathy.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and complex situations; encourage diverse thinking and build support among decision-makers.
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM technologies (Salesforce).
