As a Scheduling Manager for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario, you'll have the opportunity to oversee and report on schedules for multiple smaller projects or one larger, complex project. Active in schedule development, construction planning process and project pursuits in collaboration with the superintendent and project manager. Reviewing durations based on quantity and production factors and adjusts master schedule accordingly.

Providing schedule risk analysis, reporting outcomes to senior project management, and managing schedule updates.

Here's how a Scheduling Manager for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. within Ottawa contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project teams to create and maintain detailed master schedules and project look-aheads of various value and contracts.
  • Oversees and directs scheduling team on project and department activities.
  • Reports on schedule progress, creating monthly forecast and status reports.
  • Obtains detailed schedule information, complete with resource loading to outline project activity lists, major project milestones, critical approvals, long lead procurement items and other key project deliverables that require proper tracking.
  • Details schedule constraints, site-activity durations and available manpower and resources.
  • Provides progress reporting to project team to ensure sub-trade/crew performance is in accordance with milestone dates and baseline schedule.
  • Assesses the impact of design changes, scheduling slippages and providing schedule updates to team and client as required.
  • Issues look-ahead schedules for weekly sub-trade and construction meetings.
  • Advises and providing specialized assistance on the resolution of difficult project control problems.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of progressive scheduling experience within the construction industry.

• Post-secondary from a recognized architectural, engineering or construction management programs.

• Proven ability in Primavera – P6 and 4D Scheduling.

• In-depth knowledge of construction specifications, building materials, methods and procedures.

• Ability to schedule, monitor and forecast resources for optimum efficiency.

• Strong communication and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

• Option to obtain a Government Security Clearance.

Estimated salary range for this new role is $118,000 - $153,000, based on your experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed as part of a personalized offer.
