Our client is a well-established Canadian apparel retailer with a long-standing national footprint and a multi-brand store portfolio. With deep roots in the industry and a clear focus on people, performance, and customer experience, they are seeking a Regional Manager to lead and elevate a group of stores across the Ottawa region. This is a visible field leadership role for a proven retail operator who knows how to balance people leadership, operational discipline, and commercial results.
The successful candidate will act as both coach and business partner to Store Managers, ensuring consistency, accountability, and a strong customer-first culture across the region. This role sits at the intersection of leadership and execution. You will be trusted to run your region like a business—developing leaders, driving performance, and ensuring brand standards are delivered every day, in every store.
Competitive base salary of $80,000 – $100,000, plus performance-based bonus
Description- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Store Managers with a strong focus on engagement, accountability, and succession planning
- Recruit and retain high-performing leaders who are passionate about customer experience and team development
- Conduct regular check-ins, performance reviews, and development planning
- Model the behaviours and mindset expected of leaders across the region
- Identify performance gaps and create clear, practical improvement plans with follow-through
- Deliver regional sales targets and key performance metrics
- Manage payroll and controllable expenses in line with budget expectations
- Drive performance against KPIs such as units per transaction, average transaction value, and customer data capture
- Use data and insight to prioritize actions that create the greatest impact
- Ensure consistent execution of merchandising, visual standards, and operational programs
- Lead the rollout of store initiatives and corporate directives with attention to detail
- Conduct regular store visits to identify strengths, risks, and opportunities
- Act as a problem-solver and resource for store leaders on operational and customer-related issues
- Maintain strong communication with head office partners and cross-functional teams
- 3+ years of experience as a District, Area, or Regional Manager in retail or a service-driven environment
- 5+ years of Store Manager or equivalent multi-unit leadership experience
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%
- A people-first leader who knows how to inspire, coach, and hold teams accountable
- Commercially minded with a strong understanding of retail operations and performance drivers
- Customer-centric, with high standards for service and execution
- Confident decision-maker who is action-oriented and resilient
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and managing change
