Position: Vice President, Wealth Management (Confidential)

The Vice President, Wealth Management will lead the advisory team, product evolution, and digital modernization. This executive oversees nationwide distribution of a multidisciplinary range of financial services including insurance, investments, financial planning, credit counselling and financial literacy. The role involves setting strategy, driving growth and managing transformational change through innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, commerce or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in wealth management, with a proven track record in leadership, business development and goal achievement.
  • 15+ years of experience in insurance in a financial services environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and execute strategic plan, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and measures
  • Lead the advisory sales team, set and achieve revenue targets and KPIs.
  • Drive sustainable business growth through coaching, innovative sales and marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate on the management of wealth products and services, recommending changes to offerings based on market trends and client needs.
  • Direct the delivery of wealth management services and practice standards.
  • Manage budgets, authorize financial transactions, and ensure financial oversight and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead organizational change initiatives to support modernization of advisory practices, including digital modernization and solutions, adoption of emerging technologies (such as AI), practice standards and omni-channel delivery.
  • Ongoing process improvement and solutioning to enhance client and employee experiences.
  • Set standards for advisory training and development, fostering high-performance coaching and talent growth to achieve targeted client experience goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation, including CIRO, provincial insurance, privacy, and evolving industry requirements.
  • Provide strategic advice to executives and senior stakeholders on wealth management, corporate risk, client financial wellness, and market positioning.
  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with stakeholders, external business partners, and regulators.
  • Leverage business intelligence, analytics, and key performance indicators to inform decision-making, track results, and direct corrective actions to achieve business and financial targets.
