Career Path Consulting is pleased to support the search for a Director of Operations, for an established Tim Hortons Restaurant Owner group based in Ottawa, ON.

This Tim Hortons Restaurant Owner group is based in Ottawa Ontario, owning greater than 10 locations in the Ottawa region, and growing!

With an established team, this Restaurant Owner is excited to welcome a new Director of Operations to their team. We are assisting in the search for an established QSR or Hospitality leader, with 7-10 years of multi-unit operations management experience. This Director will demonstrate a strong understanding of food service standards, labour, inventory and business performance. The successful candidate will care deeply about the people and the operations, while providing presence in each of the stores.

The successful candidate will have exceptional business and financial acumen and a results-oriented leadership style.

The Director of Operations will be one of a team of 4 Directors, each reporting into the Restaurant Owner. The successful candidate will play a leadership role demonstrate a high degree of collaboration with peers, unit owners and head office staff, while coaching and developing others to achieve their best.

Strong candidates will have:
  • 7-10 years of leadership experience in quick-service or hospitality management (multi-unit preferred).
  • Experience as a Director of Operations or General Manager in a multi-unit environment is required
  • Food industry experience is required
  • Exceptional business and financial acumen, strong understanding of business drivers within multi-unit operations
  • Analytical, demonstrated experience in analyzing food and labour costs, reviewing business performance and making data driven adjustments
  • Proven ability to grow sales, manage costs, and improve bottom-line performance.
  • High collaborative, easily connects with Head Office team, peers and Unit owners
  • Values front-line staff, empathetic and supportive in constructive situations
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills — experience coaching and developing others
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Key responsibilities of the role:
  • Provide strategic leadership across multiple Tim Hortons locations, driving operational excellence, brand consistency, and sustained profitability.
  • Leverage cost data and financial metrics—including sales, labour, food costs, and profitability—to identify trends, inform decisions, and drive improvements.
  • Develop and coach Store Managers and Assistant Managers to elevate leadership capability, strengthen accountability, and improve operational results
  • Identify and execute opportunities to grow sales, enhance the guest experience, and improve market performance through disciplined operational leadership.
  • Design and optimize operational systems, processes, and controls that improve productivity, strengthen execution, and enhance cost efficiency at scale.
  • Champion compliance with brand standards, food safety requirements, and operational policies to protect performance and guest trust.
  • Lead recruitment and workforce development efforts, attracting high-calibre team members while building internal bench strength for future growth.
  • Collaborate with Director peers and the Restaurant owner, be a valued team member in achieving annual organizational goals.
  • Regular travel between locations is required, the successful candidate should expect to visit each location weekly
