Salary: $45,630

Position Summary and Responsibilities:

United Way holds strong relationships with many sectors, industries, businesses, elected officials, social services, and community leaders. Under the From Poverty to Possibility Focus Area, we leverage these relationships by convening community champions and experts, and we build connections across East Ontario that link organizations with the tools they need to reimagine business ecosystems in ways that benefit everyone— including the most marginalized people in our communities.

We do this through initiatives that unite key stakeholders on a collective mission such as our Community Wealth Building (CWB) portfolio and Community Wide Initiatives including the Employment Accessibility Resource Network (EARN), Hire Immigrants Ottawa (HIO).

The coordinator will contribute to the design and execution of engagement activities that convene stakeholders, strengthen partnerships, and reduce systemic barriers for marginalized populations, including immigrants and people with disabilities.

The role plays a key function, supporting the planning, delivery, evaluation, and reporting of events, meetings, and stakeholder engagement activities. Through both virtual and inperson formats, this role helps connect partners to the tools, knowledge, and relationships needed to advance inclusive workforce practices and community-based solutions across Ottawa, Prescott-Russell, Lanark, and Renfrew Counties.

This position is based in Ottawa and serves communities across Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark, and Renfrew Counties. While most activities are conducted in English, French language proficiency is considered an asset to support engagement with Francophone and bilingual partners.
