Strategic Director, Research Contracts at University

Drive excellence in research management as the Strategic Director for Research Contracts at the University of Ottawa. This role requires leadership in negotiations and administrative processes.

In this full-time, onsite position, you will report directly to the Associate Vice-President, Research Services. Your main responsibility is to lead the university’s contract operations, ensuring excellence in client service and safeguarding funding. Leverage your experience to facilitate partnerships and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee university-wide research contract negotiations

• Develop strategic partnerships across various sectors

• Ensure adherence to federal and provincial regulations

• Guide a team in effective contract administration

• Analyze complex agreements and provide solutions

Requirements:

• Relevant graduate degree or equivalent experience

• At least 10 years in a similar research environment

• Expertise in complex research contracts

• In-depth understanding of funding and compliance policies

• Outstanding leadership and problem-solving skills
