Make a difference with the Assembly of First Nations by becoming the Assistant Director for Housing and Infrastructure in Ottawa, Ontario. Lead policy development and ensure effective project management for vital Indigenous housing initiatives.
This full-time, permanent role requires strong leadership in policy implementation and strategic communication. The candidate will mentor staff, oversee compliance with AFN policies, and enhance operational efficiencies while supporting senior leadership in achieving organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage teams to meet housing policy objectives
• Lead compliance and budget oversight for projects
• Prepare strategic reports for management and stakeholders
• Support contracts and funding proposal alignment
• Monitor project deliverables and manage risks
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required;
Master’s or Ph.D. is an asset
• At least 5 years’ experience in relevant fields
• Strong project management and writing skills
• Experience engaging with Indigenous communities
• Proven mentorship abilities in diverse settings
