Chalk River Emergency Management Officer

Location: Chalk River

CNL is hiring an Emergency Management Officer in Chalk River, Ontario to lead safety and preparedness initiatives. Manage compliance, training, and coordinate response efforts to enhance safety.

As an Emergency Management Officer, you will be instrumental in CNL's mission to ensure robust emergency management practices. This position entails developing training for internal staff and external agencies while overseeing emergency response efficiency.

Your role requires a blend of strong communication skills and an understanding of regulatory frameworks to support safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead training management for CNL staff and partners

• Coordinate with stakeholders for emergency response

• Ensure objectives for emergency response are met

• Analyze and present health metrics to senior leadership

• Take on other managerial tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Diploma or postgraduate certificate in emergency management

• Minimum of five years in emergency management roles

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Familiarity with nuclear legislation and guidelines

• Security clearance eligibility required
